Our name was originally inspired by an Italian sculptor in the 15th century using the artist name of Verrocchio. He was also working as a goldsmith and painter. His pupils in his workshop included among others Leonardo da Vinci and Botticelli, and he also influenced the great Michelangelo.
Like the artist Verrocchio was a mentor and tutor that supported the development of many famous artists of Italy in the most important time of art, Verrocchio Wines aims to market wines that allows the wine enthusiast to learn more, explore and develop his/her interest for the fantastic Italian wine region of Veneto – at a great value.
